Morning? all. What a fun night but I have a beast of a hangover and it's one of those ones that will deffo last all day! Good job I'm off then isn't it. Had a right laugh on here last night and would love to meet you all if it's cheap enough for me to get somewhere from bonny Scotland.
Sarah you are being very good. I'm impressed. I want to slash my food budget next month and set myself a challenge on that one. Going to get a blanket and lie along the couch watching Loose Women for now. My head hurts!

    Hey All

I'm def up for a SAID meet  I don't mind travelling either - maybe can bag a £9 room in a travelodge when they have their deals on???

Re: cooking for one - I don't waste much food at all. I try to meal plan although don't stick to it rigidly. I personally don't mind eating the same thing two days in a row - might mix it up with different sides (eg. stew with jkt pot one day and then rice the next). I also tend to make stuff in 4 portions and then use two up and freeze two. TBH meal planning is way forward - has stopped me randomly shopping and spending a fortune on rubbish bits and pieces.
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • Oh dear, can you lot be left alone?? ;) And am I allowed in here still?!

Got a stinker of a cold today, all my sinuses are painful and it feels like my brain's too big for my head today (yar, right! :D ). Got fed up of staring at the peeling wallpaper in my living room and tugged a little corner...oooops! Guess I'm getting a paint brush out at the weekend. It was due to be decorated anyway before my tenant moves in and it's good to see that the walls aren't in too bad a condition underneath so I'm thinking a good sand and I'll be able to go over the top. Saves me money on lining paper!

Re: cooking for one - I find meal planning really helps (look at the OS board). Also, if you have a strict budget just take cash shopping with you then you can't physically spend any more than you need to. My freezer is very well used, especially when I pick up yellow stickered items in Asda - if I time it right I get all sorts for 1p!
  • Another one with stonking cold here in bed all wknd laughing at you lot. Got sent home due to fears for public health :-) Thank goodness it was busy on here this wknd or there'd have been a murrderr here in the highlands i swear. Living at home is the pitts- add illness and wallowing and one throw away comment by loving father and cue tears, feelings of worthlessness etc. Take me a wk to recover!
P.s. Did anyone know that carbs consumed as treatment for illness are calorieless?- even WW says so- well that's how i'm translating it anyway! Imagine that! I knew shortbread had healing powers

    Hey Buffy :)

Steria do payroll for the company I work for. They do it very badly and are very frustrating to deal with on the phone/e-mail, in my experience.

I'm sure this has only happened since Tracey stopped working there :)

PS Tracey - My ex had an MX5, I liked driving it but the suspension was a bit hard for me. It was a Sport though so maybe they have firmer suspension?

I like it! And strangely enough, I was just sitting here thinking I really fancy shortbread.
