It has Just been announced from Tesco Head office that Tesco will no longer let you use coupons without buying the product. This is due to some stores getting well over £10,000 per day over the last few days.
To be honest I thought they'd crack down sooner but it was good while it lasted. All stores will be getting briefed as we speak.

I have never done the Tesco vouchers thing myself but i can almost see the backlash of angry msers who are going to blame others .
please don't. peace man0 -
They still accept, asda, sainsburys, morrisons, boots and waitrose conditional spend coupons (i.e £5 off a £50 spend) but not farmfoods, iceland or any other retailer0

A woman had £200 in a store I was in yesterday. Was Martin Lewis not on GMTV informing people about this? If so thats why this has stopped0 -

do you mean £200 of vouchers for things not actually buying?
that's rather taking the mickey.
i didn't see GMTV but do you mean that M.L was informing people not to do it? or that he was suggesting to do it?
thanks for info anyway.
i only ever tried once, and it was a terrible failure. decided not worth it.0 -

Feel free to PM me. My local T's carpark this afternoon was deserted of cars. Wonder if it was just a coincidence?
Wonder if they'll change their mind when turnover plummets in some stores? IE the stores that didn't have a problem with abuse.0 -

This is disappointing, this is why i bypass my local asda. I've never done the not buying the product vouchers but always the other spend and save vouchers and farm foods.0 -
Someone needs to point Martin Lewis in the direction of this thread, as it looks like his ramblings have contributed to the abuse & demise of the much loved Tesco coupon policy...I Hate Jobsworths!!!0

I think we`ve heard all this before. (Asda tried stopping it earlier this year)
If this is true it`ll all blow over when their takings are down.
As for someone trying to hand over £200 worth of coupons all at once,I`ll quote Victor Meldrew.0
