Non-sky Premier League Football On Tv ?

I was in a pub for the last day of Premier League Football and they were showing the West Ham v. Spurs game on TV. This was obviously a satellite transmission from the Middle East but the pictures were superb and there was an English commentary. Does anyone know how to go about getting this and saving on the SKY subscription ?? Apparently it is legal. I have seen ads. for streaming on to PC but really want it to my TV. Any information would be appreciated.

Hi, you would need a satellite system either fixed at say £400.00 or a motorized
    system at £650.00+.
I would probally get into trouble with this site, if I explain how to get Premier
Football on a satellite system, so I am sure a sensible person would do lots
of searches on Google or speak to your local satellite installer.
A sky satellite system would not give you what you ask for !
My own satellite receiver is an echostar 3000IP.

go to an independent satellite installer (i.e. non sky) and ask about art.

you can also search on ebay for this.

my satellite receiver is a force 516

art sports - under £200 a year comes with 6 sports and 4 movies. you need a non sky box (tecnomate) and you have to swing your dish (80cm>) around to 13E to get Hotbird 7A. shouldnt take you long to set up the dish and lnb then run your cable down... :)

Are there any guides where you can get info on this kind of setup?

    Technomate 1500ci - ebay approx £100 + delivery
80cm dish - ebay approx £50 inc delivery
    sat meter - ebay - £5-£25
Art sport offical card ebay - £99 approx for 12 mths

Do a search on those items. Many of the people on there can supply all the relevant equipment inc cables etc and they do tend to have shops selling on there

    Hope that helps a little

    regards

As an alternative to art, there is a group of Albanian channels, Digitalb, doing live Premiership and lots of movies, with original language soundtrack.

The footy has English commentary too !

Good company for advice = equipment -

Well thank you to all for the advice and information. That is plenty enough for me to be able to get ready before the next season of premier footy commences, and as a non-techie I don't think I would be able to cope with any more info, so thanks again.

  • Hi,

It's worth talking to this guy: http://www.unapit.com if you know little or nothing about it because it's not as simple as getting Sky installed.
