Baliff threat...advice needed please

Hi, please can anyone help with this.....

Me & partner are on a joint CCCS debt plan to help clear our loans and credit cards, we have been on this for 4 months now but we have a couple of credit card companies (one who is nationwide for £650) who are sending solicitor letters now stating that they will be sending someone to my home and that i should be taking action as to what they can remove from our home......

We inform CCCS everytime things change but the credit card companies dont seem to accept anything that they are being told about the debt plan etc !!!!

Can they legally come to my home and take our few belongings we have....

We are expecting a baby within the next 12 days and i cant sleep at night for worring that someone is going to knock at the door and take everything we have for the baby etc, this is making me feel really ill _pale_ _pale_....

Please help what can we do and what are my rights.....We have nothing secured on the house, loan or credit card wise.

Thank you in advance.

If they don't have a CCJ that you haven't paid, then they are fibbing to you.

    They are talking utter nonsense.

Keep paying as you are through CCCS. :)

In order to remove goods from your home they have to first go to court and prove you are not paying the debt (the court will look at any evidence you provide that you are paying ie your corispondance with them and CCCS). The court will then give you a chance to pay and if you then continue to not pay they will issue a court order for their appointed baliffs (not the credit card companies) to come to your home. Even then decent balifs try to come to a payment arraingement before removing goods.

Untill they have that court order you can choose wether or not to let them into your home. Write back and inform them that you do not wish any representatives of their's to visit, send it recorded delivery and keep copies. If they persist threaten to report their conduct to the Office of Fair Trading.
