Evening Standard Newspaper - Now Free!

The London Evening Standard is to become a free newspaper, its publishers have said. About 600,000 copies of the paper - which currently costs 50p - will be given out in London.
The move comes after the paper was sold by the publisher of the Daily Mail to Russian billionaire Alexander Lebedev.
Last month, the London Paper free newspaper, owned by News International, ceased publication. The London Lite paper is already given away free.

Think I heard different- it will be free, but not until after next week (don't waltz upto an Evening Standard stand and snatch-and-grab just yet!!)

Its already free though and has been for several months, after 9pm at certain stations at street level (and others for 10p) Picadilly, Bond Street and Green Park stations at 9pm will get yo the paper free, whilst Charing Cross, Marlyebone (after 10pm) and various other stations will get you the paper for 10p (normal price is 50p).
