Also worth asking your breakdown cover provider if you can suspend the remaining cover until you get a new car - I'm with the AA and they did this after they automatically renewed my cover (grrr) a month before I sold my car. I had it suspended for three years and have just restarted it as I have a new car for getting to college. While it won't help you save money at the moment it will mean you aren't losing money on a car you no longer have!
As all the others said, I think you're doing really well! Keep your chin up, I know how demoralising it can be when you constantly feel like you're only just getting by.0 -
your 3 yr old should get 5 two and half hour sessions of nursery/play group free and in some places 15 hours.0

The only thing I can see that others haven't already pointed out, is the prescriptions. It might work out cheaper to get a pre pay certificate than to pay for one every month (which is probably every 4 weeks, so slightly more than £7 a month).Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0

What is the other insurance? Have you considered life assurance, which is missing from your SOA and usually advised as you have children.
If you can survive on your SOA as it stands then in January when the council tax is up you should be able to plan to replace your car and next year will be easier. Just don't do what I always do when extra money comes in and plan to spend it three different ways simultaneously! But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

What did you use the car pay off for in August?
If you move closer to your husbands work you also save on petrol as well as rent.
Free sat is free. If you need a decoder box ebay at about £30
Smoking!!! £150 per month = £1800 per year.
