ReAct Funding for people made redundant in Wales - IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Hi, I don't know if this will help anyone here, but when I signed on earlier this year after being made redundant, I was told by the Job Centre about ReAct Funding which is Welsh Assembly Funding for training after you've been made redundant within the past 6 months. They directed me towards Careers Wales who were spectacularly unhelpful and made it sound like all the courses were spread over weeks and weeks, so I decided not to go ahead with it as I thought that when I get a job I'd need to give it up and it would have been a waste of time and money for all involved.
ANYWAY, yesterday i had a meeting with a recruitment lady at a company near where I live, who informed me that they run ReAct courses which can last btwn 2 and 8 days, and if you start a job before they're finished then you can carry on from home so you still get to finish it. Also, my next employer will be entitled to a grant of just over £3000 for employing me!!! She couldn't believe that I hadn't been told about the employer's grant as a lot of her clients put it on their CVs as obviously it can help sway a prospective employer. I am so annoyed that no one at the Job Centre or Careers Wales told me about it, I've had a couple of interviews where they said it was btwn me and one other person but the other person just had the edge over me, now I'm wondering (especially with the charity job interviews I had) whether if the employer had known that they'd get the grant for hiring me, whether that would have swung things in my favour!!
Obviously it's too late to do anything about the jobs which I've previously gone for, but I have now added this info to my CV for all future apps.
Hopefully this information will help some people on here too who might be in a similar position and not know about it. If you want any more information, feel free to PM me and I will pass on the helpful lady's contact details as I'm not sure if I;m meant to name them on here as it might be seen as advertising or something (although they seem to be a great company and if they get me a job I'll be singing their name from the rooftops!!!)
