  • wow, thanks for all the responses guys, i havent been on for a few days, fascinating reading, although i must admit i couldnt help giggling at some comments!

    Thank goodness im not crackers!

Maybe now is the time to admit that ive also got 3 freezers too, my normal fridge freezer which mostly has convienience food in there and a couple of frozen meats, a table top type freezer on top of normal fridge freezer which has joints of meat, chickens and mince etc in it (and a loaf of whoopsied bread!) and also a 6 drawer upright i nicked off my dad that we had when i was at home which he doesnt need, thats got a drawer full of more meat, mostly portioned up and mince, has frozen veg, frozen fruit we hunted out a couple of months ago (think tons of blackberries!) frozen stock and a few other convienience bits, tbh im not always entirely sure! We only moved here in April so before that i had to run my (then two) freezers down so have stocked them up again mainly from stuff on offer and a couple of big shops at Iceland for convienience stuff as well. So i have a fairly accurate idea and i do actually have a list somewhere i think, but cant remember if i threw it cos it got too tatty.

Im really my own worst enemy though and i completely understand the idea of it being dead money but i know my freezer stuff will get used gradually, however i cant help but get stuff on offer, but im getting so much better thanks to GC and OS. For example the only thing i bought but shouldnt have recently was from Mr M yesterday, they have pork shoulder on offer at £1.99/kg so i bought two good size ones for less than £5 each, one i took out of the slow cooker earlier that will do us at least next 3 days and one i fitted in the freezer (i know!) which il use at xmas i expect. Not a bad buy i thought because thats our meals for next 3 days at least sorted for about £4.50 and i have done a huge pot of mash (from my 99p for 5kg potatoes in netto!) and prob frozen veg, or roasted squash. So i do make use of my buys! I wont be going shopping as i dont have much fridge space and its full so thats that except for milk (which i dont actually store!)

    So im not completely crackers!

Although i did go Pri"ark today and they had bath treats on sale from about £2.50 to 50p each, so i bought about 12 of different varieties and im going to make nice presentation boxes/bags and thats a nice little xmas pressie for at least 3 of my friends, so a few quid well spent i thought! But thats different...isnt it!

Oh i do go on! Ill shut up now and check out the rest of OS!
