Re:Cheapest Reliable Courier To Dublin?

Hello,
I am looking for a reliable courier from Northern Ireland UK to Dublin Ireland,
I basically need a U.K address for Mainland U.K Companies Online to order a fairly large shipment of horticultural bulbs from companies like Thompson and Morgan and https://www.vanmeusen.com etc.

Similar to https://www.dealhunter.ie

  • So I assume you're in the republic of Ireland and want to order from somewhere on the mainland; get them to ship to Northern Ireland and then get transport from here down to Dublin?

Have you tried this site for Thompson and Morgan worldwide as they would deliver outside the UK?

You might actually be just as cheap sending it by royal mail or parcel force. I imagine it will be quite a bulky parcel if it contains bulbs and the like. DHL quoted for a 30x30x30cm box at over £50!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Whereas with royal mail or parcelforce, it ran between £9-14.

This is probably due the the possibility of the spread of diseases from actual plants.

Do you have any relatives you can use in Northern Ireland to send them to? (Sorry if this is a silly question)

Yes Bulbs are heavy, were those quotes from Northern Ireland to Dublin?
or UK Mainland to Dublin which are usually astronomical.
And of course you need the UK address to give to the UK online retailer

Then there the problem of having an Irish Credit Card registered to an Irish address.
unless my credit card company will allow for a secondary delivery address based in Northern Ireland somehow I don't think so.

No its not the diseases lol otherwise they would Not deliver to Northern Ireland its the high operating costs in the Republic of Ireland.

I don't have relatives in the North.

  • Have you tried any of the Garden centres in Northern Ireland. You can be in Newry from dublin in an hour and then from there to a good number of garden centres in the surrounding area within an extra half hour. You could always phone them before hand and do a booze cruise or christmas shopping while your up too... just google Garden Centres In Northern Ireland and there are a good selection
