Can my bad credit affect my ex-housemate? PLEASE HELP!

I have a history of bad credit (which I am now on my way to resolving although my score is still quite low) and I am worried how it might affect the owner of the house I moved out of in Noivember of last year.
She has just applied for a new mortgage and been turned down. although she doesn't have many details yet her IFA has left her a message saying it is something to do with her old house (which I shared with her and 15 other people over the years). Could this be my bad credit? I have no CCJ's or anything really bad, just a lot of missed payments and a default or two.
I'm really really worried, she's my one of my best friends and I'd just die if I've messed up her lovely new house for her.

It is possible, she needs to fill in a form of disassociation to prove she had nothing to do with your debt. This should then repair her credit score. Not sure where you get these from though perhaps someone else does.0

I think they changed the way they record people on credit reports recently, but it could be that, yes.
She just needs to apply for her credit record and then tell people that she isn't associated financially to you.
I had to laugh when I got my credit report at 18, and it had all my mums and dads stuff on there!!0 -
You can get a free 30 day trial of Credit Expert from Experien. Don't forget to go through your Quidco account to get £5 for signing up.
I did this and it shows you who's name is linked financially with yours.
