hi - I hope i've posted this in the right section.
I wonder if anyone can suggest anything that I would be able to do in my situation.
Currently almost divorced and my ex partner sees the kids maybe 3 times a year (we live 800 ish miles apart now)
anyway, csa has deemed he only has to pay £5 per week for 3 children, despite the fact he works full time, they say this is due to him having a war pension (he got this because he was diagnosed with asthma whilst serving with the military, he's never been in a war zone!!). I have talked to the csa until I am blue in the face and from what i understand he hasn't declared his earnings from his full time job. He "very generously" also pays £60 per month direct to me. I now find myself in a horrible financial situation, i am on benefit, have health problems but not bad enough to be classed as disabled and because my youngest child is 11 I will be forced back into work, however i am in private rent accommodation and even tho i have worked out with a lone parent advisor that it's insanity for me to even consider going back to work as i would maybe be able to pay my rent each month but nothing more would be left over for food or bills i am at a loss as to what I can do. Sorry I lost track a little there back to the csa problem. They have told me I have to prove he works, however due to the divorce going through the courts at the moment I have been told i don't have legal right to pass on the information I have about his job to the csa but they won't investigate my claim any further unless i do. The other problem is he is now living with another woman and they have a child together, he moved in with her within weeks of us splitting up and now he claims he simply cannot afford to pay anything more for child support. I am at my wits end with the situation I am in, i would love to be able to go back to work but financially it's impossible.
Any ideas what i can do legally?

By going back to work you would still be able to claim CTC you would then also possible get WTC and help with after school childcare for your 11yo if needed. Plus your wages. Depending on your wages you could also get some help towards your council tax and rent payments.because my youngest child is 11 I will be forced back into work, however i am in private rent accommodation and even tho i have worked out with a lone parent advisor that it's insanity for me to even consider going back to work as i would maybe be able to pay my rent each month but nothing more would be left over for food or bills i am at a loss as to what I can do.
Who has told you this, was it the court? I thought anyone could pass on information.Sorry I lost track a little there back to the csa problem. Do you know roughly what he earns if you do go onto the csa website and put in all of their details it'll give you an idea of what you could get once you have proved he is in work. It will be reduced now he has another child but it maybe more than the £5 he has been awarded. The other problem is he is now living with another woman and they have a child together, he moved in with her within weeks of us splitting up and now he claims he simply cannot afford to pay anything more for child support. Of course you can name the employer - the CSA won't say where the info came from!0

I thought the CSA could check if the NRP was working or not. That sounds like a load of crap from them doesnt it.0
