What's the deal?

A month ago Tesco was offering additional Clubcard points on Ipod music players meaning it was possible to buy an Ipod Shuffle for effectively £7. It's now offering the extra points again but this time on Ipod Nanos.

How do you get it at that price?

Buy a 2GB iPod Nano at Tesco's (for £139) and get an extra 999 clubcard points plus the 139 you would normally get for the purchase. Spend these points in store and they're worth £11.38, effectively making the player's cost £127.62... not bad... though there is cheaper online.

However as I always say, don't spend Tesco Vouchers instore. Instead use them on Tesco Clubcard Deals. These are things like days out, RAC subscriptions, gifts, etc... Do this and they're worth roughly four times as much, so the 1138 points becomes £45.52 worth of vouchers. This means, if you're spending the vouchers on things you'd use anyway (of which there should be many) you're effectively only paying £94 for the Nano.

For more details on Tesco Clubcard Deals see 'Never Spend Tesco clubcard vouchers in-store!'

The cheapest iPod Nano around is about £119 so you'll definitely be quids in.

Where can I find one?

All Tesco extra stores should have them in but as often happens with these deals stock can run out quickly. If you're not sure if your store stocks them or you'd be making a special trip use the store locator to find its number and give it a quick ring, in case it's a wasted effort going there. Unfortunately this is an in-store deal only, which ends on 31 May.

What can I use my deals vouchers on?

Some examples:
£7.37 in clubcard vouchers/£32 in deals vouchers = day entrance ticket to Alton Towers.
£2.50 in clubcard vouchers/£10 in deals vouchers = toward Purple Parking (Park & Ride airport service)
£11.85 in clubcard vouchers/£47.40 in deals vouchers = 12 blockbuster rental tokens
£13.75 in clubcard deals/£55 in deals vouchers = RAC roadside cover

As far as i'm aware the 999 points is on offer to all ipods at Tesco. Nano, shuffle and the 30 gb etc. The offer is until the end of May (31/05).

Alot of stores have not been advertising the offer in shop, but at check out the 999 points have been added (always check?).

It's now been on again for a couple of weeks, and the the shuffle (being the cheapest), seems to be sold out everywhere (almost), but you can get a good deal on ebay....apparently!!!!!!(but no points).......
