Haven't heard the word until a few years back think its wildly used now due to internet forums etc especially on here
No good for me down in the South but interested in the name - "Numpty" is another word for "village idiot" in Hampshire !! Didn't know it spread further afield...

My dad used to say numpty when I was small- he's from London.
I love the word- bit of a gentle insult lol
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine
:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:
I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine. :p

Why did they name it after me:confused::p:rotfl:

That's why I recognised it!!!!! - so glad you posted this reply :T.
Name seemed so familiar - thought I would recognise a knitted monkey when I clicked on the link :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:then was surprised when I didn't recognise the character & couldn't for the life of me think why I knew the name ........ of course it was because of our own MSE Numpty :j

Aw Poppycat - don't worry! - was really good post :j
Lots of people look at things and then find that for one reason or another they can't/don't want to send off for & loads of people never bother to thank or reply anyway.

I think sometimes there is a high percentage of people who are not members that come to the website then view & send off for things but do not join or log on so they never post or thank.

Anyway, at least its not like some (or should I say many [!] of mine) where no-one is interested in the slightest :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I just keep posting anyway :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::T:T:T

A lot of the time there is no rhyme or reason to responses on here: for example, have just seen a post with nearly 250 thanks, 50 replies, approx. 24500 views but no likeability ??????!!!!!!!!:confused::confused::confused::confused:

    Crazy!!!!!!
