A&L Overpayments

I am allowed to make over payments to my Alliance and Leicester mortgage. Does anyone know if the monthly payments stay the same and the mortgage length is reduced OR do I pay less each month and the mortgage stays the same length?
Alternately will I be able to choose?
Thanks in advance

I believe you should have the choice on what effect you want your overpayments should have. Just speak to them before you do for specific instructions.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I've had an A&L mortgage and they allowed 10% overpayments in January every year0
