Marks & Spencer Autumn (October) Sale

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is going to be a half-price sale in M&S next week?

Last year it started online on the 6th and 7th October, so will it be the same again this year?

Another sale?! wow- they're really going for it- is it just me or do they seem to be having more sales then previous years? just wish I (a) had the money and (b) they would reduce the things I really want to buy!

Does anyone know if they will discount schoolwear as I usually get the school uniform for the following year for my grandchildren in their September sale but it didn't happen this year?

Thats been less than 2 months since theyr last sale?? My son is 8 weeks old now and he was about 2weeks old when theyr last one started!

Is it Tuesday night online, and Wednesday in the shops, or Monday night online?

I think they put less range of lines in the July sale, then had a quick August sale as well...probably they are also treading carefully to balance their returns against the cost of keeping stock in their distribution centers...

Remember, Sales are not for our benefit - they only hold a sale to make space for new lines, and if they're having trouble moving it in the shops!

I haven't seen nearly as much this year from M&S that I'm interested in ...I'm really hoping I can get 5 or 6 half price Ultimate non-iron shirts for work..

For example, they've thrown out completely the Blue Harbour Golf range...

Plus they've cut their kidswear sports hoodies range as well...

I saw a member of staff instore with a sheet saying "Tuesday 6th October mid season sale", she was moving things around that were on the sheet. So I presume it will be instore on tuesday. We'll have to wait and see if it starts tomorrow night online.
