Slow cooker prices vary a lot, so it's hard to tell, without knowing the brand and size of the slow cooker you bought.

If the offer is still available your thread might get more response on the Northern Ireland board. Let me know if you want me to move it over for you.

Last week the Lillywhites store locally had a 'rummage' type sale with baskets marked 80% off and 90% off. They contained mainly sports wear and mostly childrens BUT rummaging around in the bottom of one basket I found a glasses case marked DKNY and inside a super pair of metal framed DKNY sunglasses. The price? - originally £89.99 reduced to £8.99!! how good is that?

At the weekend the hard-drive on our computer decided it was going to throw a wobbler and OH (being an IT technician and not happy with the computer that we bought in August 2003 that was ex-display and "slow" ) decided we should buy a new one  So....we went to Comet, HOPELESS. So I almost dragged OH to PC World (he hates it apparently) and we managed to get a really good quality (and I'm assuming going by OH's smiling face, quite high spec without being silly) NEW computer for....£660 as we only needed the tower :D Then, since we were having problems with our scanner (not compatible with our old computer so I sold it) and our printer (just kept throwing wobblers  ) we also chose a scanner/copier/printer which should have been £85 BUT since we were buying the computer we got it for £60 ;) Then I also saw some Key Stage One software for DD, 6 programmes & bonus disk of board/dice games for £20 so I picked that up as well.

We spent a total of £740 but we now have a new computer, keyboard, mouse, scanner/copier/printer AND software for DD to learn on. Plus an added bonus I discovered yesterday, the printer software has a projects section where you can print photo-albums etc out so I can make a really special photo-album for my IL's 50th birthdays (they're both 50 within a month of each other) and I won't have to go out and buy a scrapbook/papers/use the original photos which is actually going to save me a fortune :D:j

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
