Morning all and congratulations on your new job Coupon-mad.Does anyone out there know yet if the new policy regarding coupon use in Tesco's is permanent ? I'm still regularly using all other supermarkets and avoiding T's 100% . The tricky bit , apart from trying to get the best deals , is finding out where everything is situated ! With a familiar supermarket it's easy to zoom round & it's much quicker.
I used to be a very loyal Tesco customer , but I guess that's in the past now.
I very much appreciate this thread and the feeling of support and encouragement from everyone.
I am definitely a supermarket tart now - T's have had under £30 of my business since 2/10 and that was the OH - they must have lost lost thousands as I hardly shopped anywhere else because of the MOC's, now it's "Who has the best deal?"If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat0 -

I did 2 shops at Mr T's this week.
The 1st time I got told I could only use one other store conditional spend coupon, but tried it on the second visit and used two. Still no consistency between staff.

I checked with CS whether they would take a Waity's conditional spend. Yes , she said, but you have to buy the right item if its another shops coupon! I explained it was not for a specific item, just a £5 wys £30 coupon - and I showed it to her. She tried scanning it and said it was fine (odd really, cos my other Tesco wouldn't take it as they said Waity's was too far away - and this one is MUCH further away ifyswim).
Anyway, I then asked what she meant about the other store coupons as I thought Tesco never ever accepted these. She insisted that they did, that they had done so for all the time (8 years) that she'd worked there and explained that , for example, if you had a Persil coupon from Morrisons, then Tesco would only accept it if you bought Persil! She even showed me her nasty little yellow new coupon policy poster stuck on the wall saying 'there, it says you just have to buy the right item'.
Doesn't happen often, but I was lost for words - this new policy is clearly as hard for the staff to get their heads around as was the old one!ELITE 5:2

Just used my 4 Milka mocs in T's but SA inputted the actually cost of the choc manually at £3 as it was on offer at 2 for £1.50 but the moc for the chips I won scanned at £2.70 even though the chips were less than that( £2.54 I think)...no bottles of blue Domestos 24hr just empty spaces where they had been...found 1 sad citrus one with label hanging off,but that was 50p so my 35p PDF moc was accepted against it..used a £2.50 F/Food , had been adding up spend but was asked for more than I thought...checked receipt carefully and noticed had been charged for 'dough balls' @£2.29...there is an offer on the Pizza Express pizzas, on the large pizzas it says buy me and get dough balls free, but on yellow price label on edge of shelf in front of dough balls it says 'get me free with any Pizza Express Pizza...I had bought the small one ...went to CS and she had to accept that's what it said so she gave me the £2.29 in cash...got the £9 meal deal and the food alone came to almost £11 and another bottle of wine as a prezzie for someone...so not a bad shop £28 and paid £17...came home to mocs from Elastoplast and Baileys....0

I forgot that I was initially replying to your post, I didn't mean to infer that you were a 'shopping tart',

Was it the PDF or the couponnet moc?....maybe some stores are being stroppy about PDF's but you should not have probs with couponnet ones
It was a coupon net one as i was only able to print the one off before it said i had reached my print limit.
When i ask why the CS manager said they were not accepting home printed coupons.
I have just got off the phone to a really rude woman at tesco CS department who said if that is what the store manager has told his staff then that is the rule.
It seems each store is able to make up thier own rules.
I felt really embarrased as there was a long cueue forming as well!Sealed Pot Challenge #6010
