Bio D products - are they good?

Options
After seeing the Ecover thread, thought I would ask for users opinions on Bio D products, as I am considering buying them, would ideally like to buy them locally when I am out and about rather than mail order.

I have read up about their ethics, and am happy on that front, but would appreciate input in their effectiveness (is that a word?)!

Are they the one's with the green packing?

If so, I tried their washing powder last year and wasn't that impressed. Didn't seem to keep my clothes clean and the fragrance was less than desirable. I went back to Ecover and haven't tried anything else since.

Found the washing liquid fine - just as good as Ecover. The fab softener was fine too - powder maybe a bit hard, but perhaps just not filled with the same 'softeners' as conventional powders. Toilet cleaner - for what it does! - seems fine too. Bought via mail order/internet and cashback too.

    Hi

I have used the washing powder and fabric conditioner and found they cleaned just as well as Ecover, Ecover does have a nicer smell though. I use the multisurface cleaner, I bought a 5l container and it has lasted ages, I find it especially good for mopping the floors. I've just ordered the toilet cleaner, I've always used ecover before and found it excellent but Bio D is slightly cheaper so trying to be green and moneysaving.

One thing I havent tried is the polish and would be interested to hear if it is any good, not that I do a lot of polishing:o

I've used the washing powder and found it generally good, although I sometimes add a scoop of oxygen bleach to a white wash, and always use a cuple of capfuls of vinegar scented with lavender oil (couple of drops to 500ml) in the conditioner draw.

The washing up liquid seems to be very good to me, sudsy but not ridiculously frothy, and the only eco one that my OH has a good word to say about!
