Yes definitely a roast dinner with a hot pudding eg apple crumble for afters! And a bottle of something nice to go with it - after all, it is a celebration!

orkney star.. well done on the knitting but whats a boob??
Em, exactly what it says on the tin....a boob!
People knit boobs (breasts) for charity and they are distributed to various hospitals to help show women how to breast feed. They are life-sized. The 'Knit your square' thread gang all do them.
Here is my first knitted boob.

It would have to be a roast for me too: beef with yorkshires, mashed swede, savoy cabbage, roast potatoes and lots of gravy.

I'd make a roast too. Beef with everything, especially lots of yorkshire puddings, & horseradish. Perhaps with red cabbage done in the slow cooker.
After that I'd put lots & lots of onions in the sc & caramelise them. There are lots of cheap onion offers at the moment (I went to morrisons), & that's what I'm making now. It smells wonderful. I'm not sure what a pizza maker is, but I'd do a caramelised onion & goats cheese pizza the following day..like the pizza express padana.

Like many before me have said, mine would be a roast dinner, yummy we meant to be having tomato soup (dinner) and HM Pizza for tea tomorrow, but I think I'm going to do a dinner now, oh how loverly they are - yummy mash, roast parsnips, carrots, brussel sprouts, chicken and yorkshire puddings. My month is watering now..
  • I would make chilli (we put chorizo in it) which makes it much nicer. With loads of sour cream and cheese and tortilla chips on the side! Yum!
