:rotfl:Surely this is a troll?! It can't possibly be a serious question! Anyone with enough common sense to hold down a job must surely know this wouldn't be acceptable in the workplace?

lol, thats a very good point!
I run an event management company, I put on events, I go to events, if I don't know anything about events - its not worth knowing!

I saw a teacher at a good school with a lovebite once. Thankfully the pupils didn't notice but the staff did.

I'd imagine it would come under your professional dress code and think it's perfectly reasonable for an employer to request that "shag badges" aren't on show whether you are in a customer facing role or not.

  • If you work in the NHS then ther are codes of professionalism. If you are a nurse then I think this is really wrong and I agree with everyone else. I am a nurse, but have taken time off to bring up my daughter and I would never have gone into work with one of those. Not only for your professionalism, but they look awful! Tiger x

Wear short sleeves and go in with rope burns round your wrists. See if they complain about that. If they do ask them outright if the missionary postition in silence once a month is acceptable. Or just wear a scarf or polo neck top.
Makes me laugh how you can be disciplined over something like that but Doctors and Nurses and other professions can have bad body odour and nothing be said. I would rather interact with someone that had a mark on their neck than stank to high heaven.

its a good point, i work for the NHS to and its suprising what one rule for one and one rule for another means.

No one dare say anything to doctors on duty. Ive seen various things and blind eyes are met, such as smoking for instance, we have a building and site ban but doctors smoke outside and nothing is said, the lower end of the ladder though soon get pulled up.
All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.

You are not high enough on the food chain then. I have seen plenty of doctors and even consultants shouted down for their appearance.
