I want to buy a good quality t shirt with some sort of England logo on it for my fella when he's watching the world cup at home or in the pub.

Lots of the supermarkets have red o white generic t shirts with england writen on them, not sure about the quality and he would maybe get laughed at in the pub. the best thing could be visit a local sports shop JJB or JD sports and see what they have in. I will say that the Umbro pranded england Shirts are pretty good, I bought my dad 1 a few years ago and it is still looking good.0
