Car Finance Termination?

I'm not sure if this is in the correct section or if it should be in motoring instead.

My Girlfriend signed a finance agreement for a car on Monday and has found out today that she is going to be getting given a company car within the next month!
Is there any way she can terminate the contract for the new car? She hasn't taken delivery of it yet, it's still at the dealers waiting for her to collect it tomorrow.
She's had a look through the paperwork and can't find any sections about terminating the contract.
Is there some sort of cooling off period with these things normally?

She should ring the Finance company and ask if the documents have been processed and the dealer paid out.

If they have not then she should ask to cancel the deal and get them to acknowledge they have done this.

Then speak to the dealer - she may well lose any deposit paid.

If the Finance co has processed the documents and paid the dealer out then the agreement is in force.

ps. there is no cooling off period when documents are signed on the dealer premises
  • Thanks for that. I'll pass the info on to her.
