was lurking and saw your posts Jesa. Just wanted to wish you and your dear dad all the best. Lost my dad nearly 5 years ago to cancer within 6 months of him being diagnosed, so I can really sympathise with what you and your family are going through, and pray that things are made easy for you all hun x
Think the hospital ceremony is a lovely idea and will be a good way to let your dad be part of your wedding day
Thread related - have listed this thread and as i have finally listed loads of things on Ebay, wonder if i can be cheeky and join in til the end of this month? Aiming to rase £300 from ebay -have a couple of big items to sell and loads of little stuff so should be able to raise that much hopefully! Will be trying to make all my money for this challenge off ebay or local ads paper0 -
I'm going to add £66.92 from back pay. Never know what they gonna give us so can't really count on it, so I think it counts. That takes me almost 2/3 there.
Edit. God, my math is not very good this early in the morning ,hardly takes me more than just over half way...Never mind.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -

I am getting increasingly frustrated ~ up until I decided to join a £10 a day challenge my things were selling on ebay superfast & well .. Now they have decided not too .. Even with majillions of watchers (well maybe not that much) they still arean't selling *breathes calmly* oh well.. i shall soldier on and not give up!
Dont a bit of overtime this month so hopefully next month will get me off to a good start .. I have got another £10 of 20ps to bag up .. but will count them once i've done so!
I had a look on quidco and i notice you can get cashback for littlewoods ~ do i get it even if i'm not paying it off in full straight away? .. Can't afford to pay this item off in whole this month so splitting it into three .. but i would get quite a bit cashbackHope so!

Jesa - A few things helped me through - One thing that helped was focusing on how pleased my Dad was to know I was getting married & that I was happy & settled - it actually made it easier for him to let go in the end. I also accepted that I would feel sad as well as happy on the day. I wasn't the only one who shed a tear on the day but it was ultimately a very happy and enjoyable ocassion.
I agree with other posters that having a symbolic act to make him part of the day can be helpful. I didn't have time to do anything beforehand so for me it was about having him mentioned in the speeches & I took my bouquet to the cemetry the next day. I think some of the suggestions about the giving away ceremony etc are beautiful - I hope that you find the right thing for you to share with him. xHave nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.

Ok as this is my first run at this challenge and i've started halfway through I've updated my signature and here's my "progress" so far!
£19.25 from silver coins pot and £3.10 loose change around the house and my purse!
Have not counted the copper coins pot - will do it in whatever month that gets filled. last year I sat down and sorted through our jar and we had close to £17 i think it was - felt goodThis thread is quite inspiring as if I join this each month then its the equivalent of saving or earning approx £300 which can go towards paying off debts! Nice motivation. Loving the forums more and more everyday
