Loan Default Charges

Hi
I have been reading the posts about claiming back bank charges for being overdrawn etc and wondered if these applied to loans too.
To let you all understand, last year I stupidly took out a small loan secured against my car, as i have a very poor credit rating due to previous marriage and being left in the ****! I defaulted a few times on the loan but it has now been paid off, but they are now wanting to charge me £150 for letters that were sent out informing me of my default. £20 per letter!!!
Just wondered if anyone knew if this legal or does it fall under the same lines as the bank charges?
Thanks

i think the answer to this is yes, along with catalogue penlties for late payment, mortgage late payments etc. consudmeractiongroup.com/forum will have the definitive answer though. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0
