It is supposed to be no more than £1.0

Thats the CSA prescribed rate. Employers can pass on 'reasonable costs' for processing a DEO if the employee agrees to it.0

My partners payroll have just started charging him £1 for his DEO0

I have a voluntary deduction of earnings order.
The Council I work for charge £1 to cover costs.
I actually found out that it actually costs more in staff time, payroll fee's etc to process it, more like £2.50 per person. So actually im thankful they only charge a pound!
If a compliant NRP wishes to pay by direct debit then there are no charges! When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.0
