HP not showing on credit report

I got a car on HP in January. It was setup with GE Money, now Santander.

I've checked my credit report in August (both Experian and Equifax) and it's not showing on either.

I talked to Experian and they said some banks simply don't report loans to credit agencies.

Has anyone had similar experience?

I'm thinking of applying for a mortgage and keeping quiet about the loan to get a better deal. Car loan is actually paid from my income from abroad, for which bank doesn't care.

Yes, lots of people in the same position.

Banks/lenders are under no obligation to share information with credit reference agencies, and although many do, many do not.

That said, I wouldn't worry: it's probably better not to have it on your credit report anyway as it will likely influence your credit scoring for your mortgage (whereas presently it won't, apart from your own declaration of debt etc).
