    Hi Tanglefoot,
    Please see the above link. Anotebook is not the same as a laptop and as stated in the article it has less capabaility and usually less functionality than a laptop.
    I hope my comments have helped the OP in making her mind up, and feel it slightly disheartening that somebody offering advice is hit by a barrier from another member, The point is to offer an opinion not to try and argue and belittle other people responses

    That article looks a little... old. Virtually all laptops/notebooks available today possess Wi-Fi capabilities and I can't remember the last time I saw a floppy drive in one. It may have been relevant six years ago, but things have changed since then.
    The term laptop computer and notebook computer are used interchangeably today. During earlier evolutionary years of the technology's development, the term 'notebook' was often applied to the lightest weight and smallest units being created, but the units and terminology are now virtually the same.
    Nowadays, deciding whether your portable computer is a laptop or a notebook is as much a matter of personal preference as anything else.

  • As the article states the boundaries are getting more and more blurred and as i said in my original post it is dependant on budget
