Well, its payday tomorrow and looking at my spreadsheet ive been DWD now for six months after having my lightbult moment in November last year.
After this months payments im down to £6336 :j
November 2005 I owed £14800
Thats £8464 paid off in 6 months
Ive been very lucky though as I managed to get two PPI refunds and have had a few good months of commission from work here and there.
also I have no kids and no mortgage to pay (yet, eeek)
Im guess im posting this as im quite chuffed with myself today, and for people just starting off or in need of a moral boost.
Thing is, if I can do it - anyone can !
I am a self confessed nightmare when it comes to money and finances.
Looking back over the years (been in debt since 17/18. im 27 now
) ive blown every penny ive ever borrowed.
i have nothing to show for it, only hazy memories of countless nights out and weekend binges. also holidays twice a year - on finance
but am i happy. No
what was i thinking !? ill pay it off in a few years etc etc.
a few years have come and gone and im 27 still living at home with parents with a great partner of five years also living with her parents.
were dying to buy a house together but whats stopping us - ME and my 10 years of stupidity
enough of my ramble.
Stay focused folks and the months will fly by.
good luck and thanks to you all for 6 months of help, support and advice.
onwards and upwards, we WILL all get there in the end :rotfl:
