Done it! Debt free today!

I've been in debt since summer 2005 but with payday yesterday I made the final payment on my one time hefty debt! It peaked at just over £21,000 in January 2007 and since then, with a decent job (gained as a result of spending lots of money on training) I've been going flat out at repaying it.
Its been hard and I was surprised at the number of setbacks and unexpected costs that spring up in life but its so worth the effort! Now I can concentrate on saving for a house deposit before getting back into debt big time with a mortgage!
Good luck everyone!

Not to start advice to soon, but check your credit report and ensure you clean it up now so it shows as all paid up.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -

Well done and what an inspiration to others!!
I travelled the same journey and the feeling you get when you have cleared off every last penny is , well difficult to put into words, but enjoy it.
The only thing is, remind yourself every day that it is not going to happen again. Keep up the good habits you have picked up on your journey.0 -
