Hi all

Happy new year.

Getting a pc for my folks from dell

Decided on the dimension 3000

If i order it through the small business section, i understand that it will be a bit cheaper.

Will i get away with doing this? Do i just call myself joe bloggs & co or whatever?

Any ideas how long dell take to deliver?

Any info much appreciated

I would hang fire for a while and keep your eyes on the boards,there`s always good offers from Dell posted.

FYI prices in the Small Business section are generally no cheaper than in Home/Home Office, but they are shown without the VAT (which is added when you get to checkout) whereas in Home/Home Office they are shown with VAT. Small Business offerings tend not to have freebies included (I bought some of the Dimension 2400s for work recently through Small Business and paid exactly the same as if I had bought through Home/Home Office except I didn't get the freebie webcam/printer that was offered there. I challenged DELL to match the offer and they said No, the offer was intended for the single system purchaser only.

One exeption to the pricing rule - Small Business sometimes has cheaper delivery charges (not often though)
