MicheH, if you happen to check back zoopla have now given me palpations coz their estimate on property would mean I have 30k in equityabout.jpgOff to bed before I have heart attack!

  • Just because you have 10k of equity doesn't mean the OR will want that amount. We had 12k of equity in our house and we offered the OR 4.5k and that was accepted. They aren't after the full amount as they know full well that if they have to sell the house it will cost them thousands in fees and time.

But get two more valuations and point out every single little thing that is wrong with your house!!!

Thanks for the advice tinytim, will let the next 2 estate agents know - oh the shame. That's good news muffin-man, you've put my mind at ease, was thinking I'd have to sell kidney/ liver/ heart/brain/ etc on ebay (or some other sale website). Can go to bed now and not have nightmares about exchanging body parts for large sums of hard cash.

  • Hi iquit

Don't get hung up on what zoopla says. It has got a valuation for a property down our road at £43k more than it sold for 6 months ago. According to estate agents in our area, the property market is stagnant. Their valuation on our house is £10k over our trustees overpriced valuation and £20k over our surveyors.
