What are you having? Or what did you have?
Also, any brides reading... what did you do with your centres after your wedding?
Many thanks

oh well we still havent decided what to have yet lol
have looked at so many different things and still dont know whar to actually do
have considered the 'fish' bowl idea with water and flowers in it
but then my oh had some flowers sent to me at work the other day and the style of them is perfect for the centrpieces so I am planning on finding out how much they would be
then I am going to have crystals on the table around the flowers
oh and i plan on giving the centrepieces away on the night, not sure exactly what to do yet, but something where someone on each table 'wins' the centrepiece to take home
Married on 5th March 2010still lurking on the wedding board tho :rotfl:0 -
Upto now, we're having fresh flowers in vases, which OH will be picking up the morning of the wedding. The vases will be from Ikea.
We're not having a sit down meal, just drinks and canapes after the ceremony, so the flowers are only to brighten the tables up a bit for the evening.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
My talented partner is making stained glass candle holders (her hobby) we plan on giving one each to our Mum's, our two 'Best Women' & my sister and our friend who are doing readings as a little thank you and a momento of our day."Normal is not something to aspire to - it is something to get away from" - Jodie Foster0

Im alternating red square glass plant pots with white ornamental cabbage with black square glass pots with red cyclamens and clear glass bowls with floating candles in for guests tables and a large floral display for top table.
We intend to plant the plants in our garden after the ceremony as a reminder of the day and keeping the glass pots for candle holders in the garden when we finally get round to having the bbq out.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

We are having the fish bowls, teeny ones (5 inches I think) with gerberas and little silver crystals. The florist is doing 18 for £75 all in, including the vases themselves. We are also having hurricane lamps with white candles bought for a bargain £2 each from Tesco in the sale! On the top table we are not having centrepieces but are buying 3 pretty vases for mine and my two BMs bouquet to sit in, save them getting bashed on the floor. We are also having proper posh candlesticks ("posh" being £5 from M&S!!) We are not having favours but are inviting the guests to take the centrepieces home if they so desire! Not the posh candlesticks though - got my beady eye on them myself to us at Xmas!

lol,i was going to do this till oh said NO
1 of the kids would kill them or worse eat them(thinking it was a sweet from the sweetie table)
or the bowl would get knocked over
how will you transport them and feed them?and what are you going to do with them afterwards?0 -

Not got that far yet :rotfl:
But be assured we are avid fish keepers so they would be well looked after:heart2: 'Tied the Knot' Saturday 9th October 2010 :heart2::blushing: Member of Diet Club October 2010 Brides and Grooms :blushing:Starting Weight: 14 stone 10.8lbsCurrent Weight: 13 stone 2lbsTotal loss: 21.8lbs :j0 -
