Well just a few quick questions, I received my experien credit report the other day thing is i thought they gave you an actual numerical score or am I wrong.
second thing is I just moved and re registerd on the electoral role now...why is it actually so important to be on the role and does it go towards your credit score.
second part of that is if i owea company money would they now be able to find me?
thanks

Hi, I'm not an expert - someone will be along shortly! But I do know that Experian don't give you a score on your report, this is something additional that you have to pay for. I'm not sure how accurate it is."I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together." Hi Allmine
As AlwaysWorking says you pay extra for the experian credit 'score' but most people on here would advise you against doing that. The score is subjective and all lenders use different criteria what is on your credit report is much more important.
Its important to be on the electoral role as this is one of the most basic checks any lender will carry out. Its also difficult to get any type of financial account (even a bank account with no credit facility) without being on the register. I think it is also a legal requirement (someone correct me if I'm wrong).
If you owe money to a company they are likely to find you eventually (they have 6years to find you from the date you last paid them or started the agreement). They could also be sending information to your previous address such as default notices or court papers - if they don't have you current address you could end up with court judgements against you that you don't even know about. Plus you put yourself more at risk of identity theft as the new occupants of your previous address may not be totally honest and law-abiding citizens.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
