you have a couple of options open to you. Depends if bought online or in store though.

    If bought on line

    Can I return items?

For orders placed on https://www.mfi.co.uk and through our telesales team (as stated in our Terms and Conditions):

You may return any products you have purchased within seven working days [7] of delivery for any reason (including if you simply change your mind).

To do so you must notify us in writing or other durable medium (including email) within those seven working days [7].

You will then be entitled to a refund from us, which will be paid as soon as possible, but in any event within thirty days [30].

You must arrange for and pay the costs of returning the Products to us - on request, we will collect the Products from you, but the cost of this will be charged to you and we may deduct this from the refund.

While in your possession, you must keep any Products you intend to return to us in good condition and original packaging

so therefore you must be able to cancel as well under distance selling rules.

What happens if I want to cancel or change my order?

If you want to cancel or change your order please call telesales on 0800 028 0937.

If however, you have goods that you purchased instore please contact your local store to arrange return.

If bought instore go in ask to cancel when ask why may be worth just telling them they have dropped in price by £100, They may just then refund £100 to keep the order

I found MFI really good, with my daughter's bedroom we bought a variety of furniture and over two years after it was originally bought we gave up trying to find a way to add supports to put up some over bed cupboards. The price of them had gone down, but I had the original receipt and took them back to a local store - not the one that we had ordered them from and they had been delivered to home - and got a full refund of the original amount. It was only two small single box cupboards, but no problems.

    Good luck.

We ordered a bathroom suite from MFI but before delivery they had an offer of a free bath. We went along to the store and asked whether we could take advantage of the offer. The salesman agreed this would be acceptable but the other discounts - half-price plus 30% discount, wouldn't be applied and we would end up spending more!

We decided to leave things as they were.
  • thanks all

i think im gonna have to find out how much i paid and then decide wether to ask and see if they will knock it off the price and if not i will cancel and maybe see if i can reorder and getitt sent to my neighbours house!

You can cancel and re-order and probably keep your existing delivery date - we have done this with MFI - no problems.

Must be something they get all the time with their pricing.

As stated, if ordered in shop do it via the shop, if ordered online give them a call.

If you paid with a HSBC dedit or credit card they have an insurance policy. If you see the product cheaper within 90 days at the same or a different store you can claim back the difference. We did this last month when a cycle we had bought from Halfords was reduced by £40. The details are on the website, but you need to tel, they send you the form and you have to send copies of your receipt and proof of the new price.
Look after the pennies and the £££s will look after themselves
