Ok, my goals for last week were:

Only buy the essentials by way of food - really shouldn't need more than bread, milk etc. Well, yes. But then I realised I've got a very busy week ahead so did my weekly shop today instead of in the week.

Watch dvds received through free trial (for quidco cashback ) and investigate when they need to be returned by so as not to get charged.Yep, ahve watched some and have dates in my diary!

Investigate any other trials/offers through quidco that could earn me some money!Well I did some investigation but didn't come up with anything much, will have to look harder.

Organise and tidy stuff - anything and everything!. My house is a mess, my uni work is everywhere, things are not up to date, arrghhh! Do some tidying whilst dancing to music (a la fat free wannabees!) then make lists of things to remember/do and get on with doing them!! Hoping that tidying and sorting house will sort out my head Not exactly moneysaving but good for my sanity Yep, did this. Put on some good dancing music and everything was tidy in no time :rotfl: And, yes, I did feel calmer afterwards!

Maybe go shopping for some much-needed shoes but try not to spend too much!Um, did the shoes shopping, spent a bit more than I'd hoped :o but they should last well  ;)

Ok, so some goals for the coming week:

Watch more dvds, then cancel blockbuster trial before friday and put discs in the post.

Spend hardly anything (preferably nothing) on groceries, might need a little milk but nothing else.

Bank more of £2 coin collection and transfer to savings account :j

Only allow myself 1 chocolate bar all week (a la fat free wannabes again!).

I have a very busy and stressful week coming up so just try to get through it and not spend too much money!

    Good luck everyone :D

    hello all,
    From last week:
    1. Bring lunch from home 4/5 days. FAILED- did 3/5
    2. Weekly shop budget £15, use up store cupboard.Failed (just) spent £16.30 but needed some toiletries
    3. Exercise 3 times this week (people keep giving up their seats on the tube, although handy, it is a little embarassing). Use the free pass gained on the freebies board.Achieved! Feeling good
    4. Have 4 no spend days. Failed, managed 2
    5. Call garage and reduce car service booked for saturday to a basic one, it has not done enough miles to warrant a full one (do not be persuaded otherwise).Achieved, decided to just have it MOT'd as last service was done last August and I have only done 3,000 miles since then.
    6. Call T-Mobile to find out why the £10 has not come off my bill (signed up for another year and instead of getting a new phone opted for the £10 a month off line rental).Achieved, it was an error at their end and it has been rectified

    This week:
    1. Have 3 no spend days
    2. Do at least 3 exercise sessions this week.
    3. Food budget, £10 (should be ok as I have 2 free work meals this week and no OH staying round!)
    4. Spend no more than £40 on an outfit for a wedding on Saturday (saved for).
    Saving for an early retirement!

It is my sisters wedding on saturday, so my goal for this week is to enjoy it!

Girl after my own heart! That's my kind of goal!

    My goals for LAST week:-

*4 no spend days Yet again, no idea if I achieved this, probably not though - I really need to get back on track with a spending diary
*Take cats to vet - arrange with CPL Yes - on Tuesday, in perfect health
*Start eBay order No, had to make a pathetic excuse and now have to do it in a rush this week
*Do some more tidying in garden Yes and planted more plants. Need to get some grass seed or turf asap to cover up a big hole!
*Clean house (today!) Can't remember, but did again at the weekend as the parents in law were down. Fairly clean and tidy still although could do with a through going over one day soon!
*Have a pampering evening Had a bath but haven't done eyebrows, toenails etc - maybe next weekend
*List more items on eBay Yes! 10 listed on Thursday night, wish I'd waited til tomorrow now for 5p listing! Am running out of things to sell!

    My goals for THIS week:-

*5 no spend days - I've no cash so hopefully this is possible!
*Go to library and pay fines
*Find another magazine money making thing - i.e. send in a 'top tip' to Prima etc.
*Phone to check Mint card is really CLOSED
*Start, complete and send big eBay order
*List 5 items on eBay tomorrow for 5p listing
*Download some podcasts as they sound quite cool and will give me something to listen to on the way to work
*Water garden or at least window boxes daily (if no rain)

    Good luck everyone!

I'm heinously late again, life is a bit like that at the moment :(

    New goals w/c 7/5/06
    1. 2 no spend days - I think I managed this, but not entirely sure
    2. Accounts - nope
    3. Utilities - nope
    4. Go to bed at a sensible time - I'm never putting this as a goal again, just in case it has been some kind of malign influence.
    5. Shop for trainers - yes. Spent time doing this last Thursday during which it exacerbated my neckache :( I finally settled on a pair on Monday, I chose the ugly but inexpensive ones and am still wondering if I chose right because they are not all that comfortable either
    6. Help clear house of late relative and volunteer to freecycle what SIL doesn't Ebay - I helped on one day which I suspect was a bit lightweight but I'm not sure how much use I was anyway. Probably most helpful was taking a load of bags and disabled equipment away. I have established contact with two Freecyclers but have yet to see the back of this
    7. 3 chocolate free days - I think so, but again didn't manage to keep tabs for the entire week

I'm rather fainthearted about new goals as it seems like the ones I'm keen to get done I can't find time for and everything else is just washing over me at the moment, but perhaps things will come together over this week sometime. I'm also not reiterating the accounts and utility switch for a third time, I know they need to be done...

    1. Two no spend days
    2. Spend slightly more time on the computer, at least to get the essentials done and keep up with helpful things like the 'What have you spent?' thread
    3. Spend modestly at gig tomorrow
    4. Book car in for check on blowing exhaust
    5. Restock to feed vegetarian friend after feeding him five times in two and a half days without adequate warning
    6. Order present for my brother
    7. Limit coffee
Do I Need One Stops All Unnecessary Reckless Spending
    £2 CSC - £30 :kisses3:
