Tesco Clubcard Points that are not mine !

I visited my local Tesco today and found a couple of receipts where the customer had not had a clubcard and the points were on the receipt waiting to be added.
Does anyone know if it would be okay to add these points onto my own card or is this prohibited?

No one would know ... but I guess it's just my feelings of guilt, knowing they're not mine. The may know they're not mine as the date and time on the receipts are fairly close together. There's no woman sicker than the woman who is sick on her day off !0

Well, I sent my fiance to the pharmacy to buy something with one of my clubcards, while I paid for the rest of the shopping! So we went through at practically exactly the same time, and that was fine.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

yes u can add them on. They don't look at time or place. They just scan the bar code.
When i'm at self scan i sometimes pop a few receipts in my carrier bag, if there lying about.
Ask me am i bothered that there not my points. Not on your life. Mr t makes enough money.
So me adding on a few points doesn't bother me.
Infact i was reading a tesco web page the other day and there are people who look in trolleys for receipts that have been left. And people have even mentioned looking in bins outside of tesco petrol stations. And they find receipts with points to be added on there.0 -
Just be careful that you dont do it too much. Staff may catch on if they see u all the time0

Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to reply. You've put my mind at rest and I will now feel happy adding these points to my own clubcard.
Thanks

I go one step further...
After my self checkout shop, I walk along the row swiping my card into all the self-checkout machines...
When the next customer comes, providing they dont override my swipe, I get the points. Naughty I know, but if the tesco crew aren't paying too much attention, easy to get away with. If not on all the machines, definitely the one you just used (and are about to walk away from).0 -
You take a few in at a time ask CS nicely to add them and blame hubby, partner, mother or anyone else you can think of for not swiping the club card

I used to look for receipts at Tesco and Safeway (when they existed) for the pennies off petrol - did quite well one week as someone threw away a receipt for 15p off a litre of petrol at Safeway.0
