Looking for Derelict / Self Build Mortgage

Hi,

I'm looking to buy a derelict house which has planning permission for a fairly big extension, so it's going to be a cross between a renevation and a self build. Does anybody know where I can find a mortgage for this.

Thanks.

None of you moneysavers got any ideas - can't believe that....

I've got a couple of advisers looking for me, one has come back and suggested a bridging loan and the other seems to think that there a few companies out there who may be prepared to lend - I have asked him for more details.

I've been told that self build finance is no longer available for any sort of renovation, currently they are only for one building per plot builds where it’s a complete new build for own occupying.
Lenders are currently un-willing to lend on renovations and take the projected value of the property into account.
