Hi ladies and Gents,
I've tried using the HMRC rebate calculator and it's down for some strange reason.
I'm trying to work out whether or not I am due a rebate for my job(s) for the tax year of 08/09. I'd be immensely grateful if someone could quickly crunch these numbers for me.
First Primary Job Tax Code 603L.
Total for year: £18,740.97
Tax paid for year £2,540.20
Student loans deduction: £181
Second Job Tax Code BR
Total for year: £1361.20
Tax paid for year £272.20
Third Job Tax Code BR
Total for year: £642.67
Tax paid for year £127.20
Does anyone know whether or know I am due a rebate - It will save me half a day trying to go to Birmingham city centre tax office?
Thanks in advance
Regards,
Zedy.

In my opinion I would say not - provided your 603L tax code on your first job is correct and you have no items you can claim for related to your second and third jobs. This is because all your tax code will have been used by your first job and so your income from your other jobs will ALL be taxed (you've no tax code left). If you'd only earned say £5k in you first job then the situation would be different. A pity you can't get some back just for working such long hours!!0

Tax looks correct to me. In fact, you are a couple pound short (third job is £1.20 down and first job is 80p down, however everyone is usually 80p down on their main job) but HMRC wont ask for this to be paid.
If you had any business expenses such as business mileage, washing a logo'd uniform at home or you had to be a member of a professional body then you might be able to get something.0 -
Thanks you both
+1 for each of you
