New York, New York!!

Hi Everyone,

Me and OH have this afternoon decided to get married after 12 years and we both agree that we want to get married in Manhattan New York. Just had a quick look at the city clerks website but to be honest I have no idea where to start.

I know my way round New York as I have visited a couple of times over the few years and we were planning on visiting again in December 2010 so thats when were planning to get married. We'll be taking our 2 daughters as well as my sister, mum and step dad.

Has anyone got any advice on getting married there, anything from how to organise the actual service to where to get my hair done. Any advice would be geatly appreciated.

Congratulations :j:beer:p-pincher, no idea about New York but try The Knot that's an american based wedding website, there is also a community on there I'm sure the girls over there will love to give you recommendations.
NB I'm so not saying go away,:eek: I know you will get loads of usefull advice here too:o

My advice is to get a free wedding video by lauraandclive at www.eternityfilms.co.uk. Just pay our air fare and lodgings... :rotfl: Similarly, anyone else getting married in a fantastic foreign location can have the same deal!:beer:

Thanks this is a great website, had a look at the locations now gotta decide whether to get married at the city hall where you get the marraige license from or to pick another location.
