Regarding frozen sausages - I defrost them first and then brown them before putting into the slow cooker. Otherwise they are the most unappetising colour - cooked but anaemic looking _pale_.

Fairy cakes should just defrost fine by themselves - could be decorating them WHILE they're defrosting to save on time. I wouldn't heat them up at all.

Not a big pancake fan, but I've read that some people layer them with greaseproof paper in between to keep them separated and then warm up quickly in the microwave - though I'm sure somebody else who does pancakes regularly will be along in a minute.

    Hi there,

I can echo Olliebeak's advice that you don't need to heat the fairy cakes - they'll be fine just left to defrost.

With pancakes, I don't think you'd need to defrost them first, and you could just reheat them straight from rozen, but i'm not sure. You could give it a go - only a few pence to make them if it doesn't work, so you're losing much, and it would be very convenient if they did work!

    Hope that helps.

Defrost and decorate, you can decorate whilst still frozen if you like, but just be careful if using plain icing that it doesn't end up wet and slide off as the cakes defrost!
can you use frozen sausages in a slow cooker?? or should i defrost them first? frozen sausages are fine, but they will stay a sort of pink colour, and may invite unwelcome and slightly smutty comments if you have anyone like my kids or oh in your house! I usually cook them to give them some colour and make them a bit firmer, as I generally cut them up before throwing in the SC.
if i make a load of pancakes and freeze them do i have to defrost them or can i heat them up straight from frozen?? (big pancake fan lol) you can heat them from frozen or defrost them, if I make a big batch and freeze them (not often as they usually get eaten before I get that far!) I try and remember to layer them with greaseproof paper, just makes it easier to take out the number I need.
does anyone have any tomato based soup recipes? I make a very simple tomato soup by frying a couple of onions till they start to caramelise, together with a carrot and a stick or two of celery, then add a couple of cans of tomatoes, blitz it all together, add some tom puree/stock if too thin or thick, season with salt and pepper and finally throw in some chopped basil and a stir in a swirl of cream if I have it.

i think thats all thank you in advance for any replys

Hope the above helps, any more questions just yell and someone will come along with answers!
