- there's a dentist (toothsmith) who seems to give down to earth advice0 -
Thanks posted it there too!0

I used https://www.the-smile-place.co.uk. It was £99 though. I would recommend them. Very quick and efficient service. Also, I think most whitening treatments only last 6 months or so (according to my dentist) and you can buy refil gel from The Smile Place to retreat yourself using the same moulds.0

I am getting mine done next month, opting for the dental trays. My dentist charging £295 including gel etc. Weighed up between other options, but decided that this does the job properly ... aftterall we only have one set of teeth (in adulthood), and want to do it correctly!0

I did mine last year with hard dental trays that my dentist had made for me. I would suggest using the 15% gel, not any higher. I tried out the 35% and after about 20 minutes I had to stop, it is a faster result though. Aslo I'd suggest using the gel sparingly as it bubbles out and thats such a waste.
I used the 15% every other day for two hours and did it about 6 times in total. Last month I did two top ups and they're bright white again. So much cleaner than when the hygenist cleans them.

Britewite
I have been trying to contact these people for over a month via their website but no-one has got back to me.
Do you know when they say "whether you need 2,3 or 4 cycles each treatment costs just £250". Do they mean each cycle or do they mean it is one price even if you have 4 cycles.
Thanks0 -

I would guess that you are connected with this company?
And I'm sure that you are aware that you are carrying out the illegal practice of dentistry - unless, of course it is a dentist who is carrying out the proceedures, and not just a nail technician/hairdresser who's 'been on a course'?How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -

I would be very surprised if one cycle was enough for a decent long lasting result in the vast majority of cases, and I read that bit as £250 per cycle, so yes - you could well be spending much more than you would if you had it done properly by a dentist in the first place. How to find a dentist.

I had 4 cycles and it cost £250. My local dentist gave me trays and I ended up with gum disease! but it's your choice at the end of the day .. :beer:0
