i found a nice lady on ebay who listed chair covers for 99p plus sesh for 57p
so for £157 she was going to travel from doncaster the day befor(thursday)and fit them then travel back(its a 2 hour round trip)then come back on saturday and collect them
all for £157
she wants paying now which im not happy with
ive heard all types of stories with these companys[taking orderings and not doing there jobs]
and i really need the chair covers due to the chairs being very unnice
the cheapest quote ive had from someone who lives near is £3 a chair chair and i need 130
can anyone rec anyone that as done the job for any less then £3 a chair cover and lives near manchester/oldham way
only other way is to have them made and ill put them on the chairs myself:D

Hi rene2b,
What's her feedback like on e-bay? Has she got much feedback for supplying chair covers?
After other peoples issues with chair covers I think you're right to be careful!"Normal is not something to aspire to - it is something to get away from" - Jodie Foster0 -
when people list on ebay they list under classafield ads so no feedback is left for there service Grrrr!0

If the woman has a 2 hour round trip then she needs to cover her travel costs - so 4 hours if you think that she has to return to collect them. 99p per chair cover plus sash is cheap and she is a business and has to cover her costs including her travel expenses. It would be cheaper to use the person who is local as they don't have so far to travel thus cutting down on the travelling expenses.0

Do you have a written quotation from her? If you have a written quotation and she states that price includes delivery then she cannot reasonably expect to charge you more. Sorry if I misunderstood - I hadnt realised that her prices incuded delivery, although they still seem to be awfully cheap.
I wonder what she would charge if you asked to buy them outright? If you bought them outright then you could possibly sell them on ebay or via an advert in your local free paper.0 -
i know thats what made me think really on top of her asking for a chq now for £25 then 6wks befor the full money
ive only spoke to her via email and i found her on ebay then she emailed to say she now as a web site but its the £157 for chair covers + sesh and set up thats worring me i think its too cheap0 -
Hi,
i have just had a look at her ebay pages and she delivers and sets up withina 30 mile radius or can get the chair covers sent to you by courier delivery with a charge / deposit of £3.50 per chair cover but that is all refunded when they get sent back !
she is a poewr seller,
i have used someone on ebay for chair covers which worked out at about £1.90 per cover and sash and the lady delivered them and collected them and she was about 1-1/2 hours away. my client paid £30 upfront and the rest just before the wedding and i must admit they did look lovely and made the room look elegant and the nasty looking chairs were covered
