Somebody PLEASSSEEE help me find a job :(

Okay so my girlfriend and I both live in London.
We are both 21, and have just graduated. I have a 2.2 and one months retail business experience, good gcses.

I have applied to literally everything in London and I cannot find a thing. I would take anything from mcdonalds to a graduate scheme but there just doesnt seem to be anything.

I am so broke and it is really depressing me now.

I applied for unemployment benefit and they called me two weeks ago, I missed the call, called back, it tells you to wait till they call you and then they never call :( So I cant even get that

Please help me

I have used all of the websites, handed in Cvs etc

  • I'm sure someone else will come alone with some good advice soon.

Have you tried agencies? Have you got any mates who work who could ask about for you? Have you tried dressing smartly, getting a decent haircut/ shave and literally walking up and down calling in at every business asking face to face for work?
Apologies if you've tried all these things. Best of luck, try not to get too down.

If you are entitled to JSA call number on their website on Monday and don't take no for an answer. Can't understand why they are telling you to wait for them to call you. Agree with what everyone else has said regarding looking for a job. You have to just keep trying and don't let it get you down (easier said than done!). Good luck.
  • Now is the time to get in to hotels, pubs, clubs, shops etc who will be looking to recruit Christmas staff for the Christmas party/busy shopping periods.

Don't give up - easier said than done I know.

have you tried all the council websites? they offer jobs on there. not sure which area in london you are but you could look at travelling into kent etc.
  • Get looking for xmas temp jobs. We keep a lot of people on afterwards, especially if they work well.
  • you applied for housing benefit and council tax benefit yet too??

id also try looking further afield for other jobs as well as council jobs, if you dont have a car then look at using the trains to get to work
