Hi Folks
Having read the tread on retro sweet jars, etc it has given me an idea to make these to put with my dad an fil xmas presents. I was hoping to do something similar for my mum and mil but didnt want to use sweets.
Has anyone any ideas as to what else I could use? I was initially thinking bath salts, but im not sure how to do this or where I could get them from. Another idea I had was to make them a little pamper jar with things like cotton wool, etc in them. But again Im kida stuck for ideas.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

How about something like this? Or is it too related to sweets?

Last year I did pots of gold in old empty kitchen jars I had.
This year I'm doing pots of snowballs...........some are having marshmallows and some white bathbombs.
Hope that helps:jI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I can`t claim any credit for this idea as it was in a Christmas magazine- but thought it was a lovey idea.
Its original purpose was a jar for house guests at Christmas and contained flannel, soap, mini tooth paste and some mini lotions and potions.
I`m sure this could be adapted for a "Pamper Jar" - eye mask, sachet of hair stuff, sachet of face mask etc
Or a nail kit - Emery boards, Cuticle stick, mini scissors, hand cream and nail polish - (No7 only £1.50 if you have a £5 voucher which boots are doing at the moment when you spend five pounds in store!)
The magazine suggested Lakeland for some nice jars.

For bath salts in a jar use Epsom Salts or Sea Salt - available in most chemists and supermarkets.
Just fill up the jar, then tie a little bottle of essential oil to the lid with a tag saying add 1tsp salts and 2 drops of essential oil for a relaxing soak!

I am making body scrub for christmas pressies this year - following the recipe from the "Grow your own drugs" book by James Wong. I am using wee kilner type jars that I got from jamie at home - although I have since discovered that you can get them waaaaaaay cheaper almost everywhere else!! Never mind, my pal is a consultant, and it was her first party, so I was being kind!0
