Dentist Newtownabbey Area?

We haven't been to a dentist for a few years and before they decided to mess the system up. Were looking for a recomendation for some dentists around the Newtownabbey area.

Also how does it all work now I know the chance of getting NHS is little to none so I am prepared to pay for it. Is it best to do pay as you go or should I take out the likes of Tesco Dental Insurance?

I go to Monkstown dental practice, Mr Alton. Recommend them, its a very busy practice. I used to be NHS but have private cover now.

I've used the Whiteabey Dental Practice on the Doagh Road for years, still on NHS and [IMG]file:///C:/Users/Trevor/AppData/Local/Temp/moz-screenshot.png[/IMG]I've never had cause to complain once.

Mellors at the bottom of the Doagh Rd is NHS and good, my previous dentist went private so I joined this one.

I like Cammy use the Whiteabbey Dental Practice on Doagh Road. I find them very friendly and put you at ease if nervous. The dentist himself is really good and professional I have no complaints.
My last dentist went private and I refuse to pay the premiums (approx. £12 per month) this was the cheapest and wouldn't have covered extensive dental work.
I usually only have 2 checkups/cleaning per year. Price around £32 annually against £144 privately. :j

I used to go to Tumeltys on the hightown rd but they are now private (Emma was lovely in there).

I now go to Portland dental practice(Portland Ave) Fiona is lovely
< teeth :rotfl: I did have to phone around a lot in Newtownabbey a few years back to find one who was taking on NHS patients though - good luck!
