    They had a recipe on Economy Gastronomy the other week (Students, making kebabs instead of picking up a takeaway).

    The recipe for that was just "Mix about half a pot of greek yogurt, 2 spoons of tahini, chopped mint, juice of a lemon, mix it all round." so that'd have been a white one that tasted of mint.
  • every kebab shop seems to have their own special recipe for chilli sauce, but this one looks about right to me?

  • My Indian friend who runs her own restaurent serves yoghurt with a tablespoon of mint sauce stirred in with her own made pakora - really yummy and very straight forward!

    Hmm! Kebab shops....special recipes:confused:, sorry to disillusion anybody, I know there will always be exceptional shops, but most will be doing something like this;

    Chilli sauce, a generous dollop of this
    http://www.jjfoodservice.com/products/?pagename=productdetails&itemid=SAU025&category1=100022&infotype=products&information=1 mixed with tomato ketchup and bottled lemon juice.

    Garlic mayo, Garlic powder slaked off with bottled lemon juice and stirred into mayo or just bought ready mixed.
  • that is excellent any for the garlic mayo/ sauce stuff

    Recipe?

    Most of it will come by the gallon from the nearest cash & carry. Probably just before its use by date.

    Haven't you noticed how kebabs never taste as good when you're sober?

    Na, that is what I originally thought I have tried looking for this every where and no where has it right. Will try these 2 recipes as soon as possible.

    I love a good doner kebab drunk or sober!! :)
