Like buying a bus when you only need a car?
But if you want to use it to replace your processor as well you need the Titanium model as the Classic doesnt fit that attachement, i think the 010 comes with the processor as well so thats one less kitchen gadget needed in the cupboard.
Does it still have a potato peeler/rumbler as an attachement though?0 -
Just to reiterate - the Major is the (extremely) large version of the Chef - it's more suited to small business/large family use rather than normal domestic use. Put it this way - my friend with 7 kids uses a Major, but unless you have a large family or are baking cakes for sale then it's probably too big.
I have the Titanium CHef KM001 which is fabulous - comes with the blender attachment and you can get the potato peeler thingy for it as well.0 -
Thanks for all your comments, just an update is that we have bought the Titanium KM010. I found out, on this forum, that Argos had 25% 0ff all Kenwood mixers so we bought it from there as I do like the safety of a shop to take it back to if there are any problems. The 25% 0ff made it the same price as I could find it online. It comes with a food processor and a liquidizer but you can buy up to 20 attachments including the potato peeler and an ice cream maker!
We are very happy with it and use it almost daily. I've cleared a space for it on the work top as its so heavy to be heaving in and out of the cupboard. As its out on show (matches the kitchen lovely!) we're more likely to use it. So far we have made biscuits, cheesecake, mash potato, cakes, whipped cream, breadcrumbs, chopped herbs and spices and a few other things.
I am thinking for buying the potato peeler and ice cream maker anyone got these?0 -
When was that on - its £391.49 on there Website today!0

The 25% off finished on 11th October. Its a similar price to what I paid on Amazon though and I think its free delivery.0

The processor is quite small, it has a diameter of 19cms and a depth of 10cms. Its big enough for my family of 4. It also comes with a liquidizer which is really big.0

Did you manage to find the peeler - i contacted one shop about it and was told its discontinued. Were looking to get the Mixer as a joint present for Christmas (WIll probably get this week from Amazon as its below £300) but i am wondering what are the attachements that are really useful/needed as like you said, you get the Processor and blender with is.0
