Who do I pay money too?

This may sound very strange but I have around 6 debts through different debt companies. When phoning a couple of them to pay I have found out that the debts have been sold on. The annoying thing is they wont tell me who too?
Its now been over a month and I have still not heard from the new companies. I have money to pay a small amount off my debts but I dont know who to pay?
Has anyone else had this? I dont know what to do?

It's not that uncommon for old debts. I would advise making the payments for the debts into a savings account until they contact you. That way, you may be able to offer a reduced full and final settlement on the debt and save some money.
If any of the debts have not had payments made to them for 6 years and you have not acknowledged the debt in writing, then they may be statute barred. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
Dad Gift 6k ¦ Savings & Inv Tst: £2,500
Loan 10k: £0 ¦ Dad 5.5k: £2,270 ¦ LTSB: £0 ¦ RBS: £0 ¦ Virgin £0 ¦ Egg £0
Total Owed: £2,270 (+6k) 11/08/20110 -
Its definatly not been 6 years only a couple of months since last payment.
Its annoying not knowing who I owe money too0 -
Also,,,make sure when you do receive contact from the new debt collection agency that you request a notice of assignment (to prove they are now authorised to collect the debt) and a full statement of amount owed and charges levied before you start paying..........You may have to make a Subject Access reqeust (SAR) which will cost £10 to get the latter...but it's worth it as the old or the new DCA may have added unfair charges to your original debt.......
Template letter for notice of assigment/original CCA request

There is a template letter for a SAR here:

If you do send either of the letters, please Remember don;t sign, print your name and
enclose the relevant payment (£1 for CCA request, £10 for SAR) as a postal order (not a cheque as that has to be signed)
Best of luck
