If there is no expiry date on them then you should be able to use them.
If they don't scan then I would say the store would need to find a way to honour them, if there is no expiry date. Maybe they will need to change them for a giftcard for you or give you an address to send them off for a giftcard instead.
Even if there is an expiry date that's expired, some main retailers will honour them or exchange them for new vouchers or a giftcard (e.g. Next do this I think).
Go & ask instore, I reckon - and if fobbed off by an unhelpful assistant then ask for the CS main phone number to ring instead. Never throw a voucher away, you should be able to use them.
In a similar vein, I got Homebase to accept a REALLY REALLY old £5 off voucher that was found when clearing my Nan's house after she died. I seriously believe it was about 15 or 20 years old - it looked really old-fashioned with dingy writing and it wouldn't scan. But it had no expiry so was still valid, as I pointed out to the Manager. He agreed to scan a different fiver voucher they had behind the till, in order to honour mine for me. This was last year.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
