Help with mince - Urgent!

Hi there
I bought some minced meat in the supermarket the other day, and put in the fridge. It's still in date, but it now looks all brown - and I am not sure whether to use it or not.
I have seen meat like this sometimes in the reduced section, does it mean that the meat is bad or is it just that the blood has drained from it or something?
I want to cook it for tea - do you think it's ok? thanks

Beef is supposed to look brown. When the meat mixes with air, it oxideses and turns the meat brown. Supermarket meat is processed and packed in an oxygen free environment so the meat stays bright red for longer. You must have a tiny tear in your pack, and air has entered it and turned the meat brown.
It's a natural thing and it won't do you any harm at all.
Beef is great for not going off. They say if you leave a joint on the bench until it goes mouldy, you should be able to cut the mouldy bits off and the rest of the meat inside will be fine. I've never fancied trying that though!Here I go again on my own....0 -

The thing with mince is that there are so many cut surfaces that can take in bacteria - I'd give it a good sniff, if you're not sure I'd bin it because you won't enjoy eating your meal if there is any doubt0
